en I thought that was the best team defense we've played all year. Rob played real strong tonight.

en A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

en The entire team played well. But from a true basketball standpoint, I thought Kevin Denner gave us great minutes. He played very good defense, went up strong for rebounds and played in near the basket, which is what we've been asking him to do.

en Not to go back in time but if you look at the playoff series last year both teams played exceptional defense and that is how we wanted to play tonight. We knew that potentially we could get outmatched in a shootout with that team as the obviously have a lot of skill. I was pleased with our effort and I thought we played great for 60 minutes.

en I thought it was a real team effort tonight. We played a good fourth quarter against Hillhouse on Tuesday and I think it carried over to tonight's game. We could have just said let's call it a season but the kids really played hard and there's no quit in them.

en We played a real strong first half. They were a much better team tonight than they were when we played them up there.

en It was a black eye on baseball. Neither team played well and neither team played strong defense. We played the game the way it shouldn't be played. They're an opportunistic team and they took advantage of our poor play.

He's a real point guard and he'd rather have the assist than the basket. Sometimes I wish he'd shoot more.

They played their game and I feel like we could have been more mentally focused tonight. I know it starts with me -- point guard, leadership. I wouldn't take anything away from the defense (Delaware State) played, but I think more than anything we could have come out and been more mentally strong.
