en I thought tonight's game was typical for us from the standpoint that we played well in segments. Fortunately, we hit the right gear when we trailed in the second half and finished the game in the right gear.

en In the second half our offense got in gear. We played pretty well and mixed it up. We had good balance in the second half. I thought Spencer Hebert did a good job running the ball tonight and Bubba Taylor had a nice long run.

en The game was back and forth in the first half. Actually we never trailed, I think the game was tied at two and we never trailed from there. It was always close in the first half, a three to five point game for us. It pretty much stayed like that until halftime when we were up by three.

en We are fortunate to get out of here with a victory. Both teams played some really awesome defense and we just couldn't get our offense in gear in the second half. This is another game that we proved to ourselves that we can win basketball games with our defense. I don't know if we would have won this game in the past. Now we are a different team.

en That was the first game we played about 28 really good minutes of basketball. It's probably the game that got us into gear.

Fortunately tonight, we played well and obviously shot the ball a lot better than we did last night against Shoshone (in a 36-25 loss for the conference championship). en It is frustrating. I thought we were the better team tonight. Especially the first half, I thought we dominated the game. Second half, give them credit. I thought they came out and played better.

en We got a telling-off at halftime and were much better in the second half. Our main aim before the game was to get a good start and keep their confidence low, but they got a lift and we didn't get out of first gear at all.

en Every time I've ever played with him, he's shown up for the game. It seems like at game time he goes to another gear and catches the ball.

en I don't know where this is coming from; I've never played 'the game,' ... I did hear rumblings that some of those guys were out there, you know, flashing their gear. Whatever turns your crank, that's what I say.

en Manchester played a good road game, but we didn't play our typical game. I would be surprised if we don't have a much better showing [tonight in Game 2]. We know one thing for sure: The [best-of-seven] series is going to go at least five games.

en You've got to hit fifth gear for the playoffs in general. You've got to be flying high, and you've got to play your best football. This is one game where, if you don't bring your best game, you're going home. The Super Bowl is the biggest game of the year, and we have to peak.
