Our goal is to dominate the east and we must continue to dominate the east so that we can have another return to the NBA Finals. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense. And I think mentally we have to become a tougher basketball team. I think mental toughness is going to be the thing that makes us champions.

en The thing I am most excited about is that our team has gained confidence through this stretch. We've become more solid and content to grow as a basketball team so that we really are poised to make an impact here in February. It could have gone the other way. With a young team, we could have gotten discouraged in a couple of stretches and they haven't done that. They've stayed strong and I'm excited about what that means for this team.

After you clinch a (East) division title it's one thing to let up as a team, but the sign of a true, I guess contending team, is making a run at the conference. Instead of being satisfied with a win last night we want to chase the next best thing.

en I'm proud of this team who, I think, early in the season, had every right to question whether or not we could finish in the top four of the conference. They set their minds to it, even as a young team, and said 'we're going to do what it takes in order to gel into a team that has strong chemistry and a team that has a solid worth ethic and a team that defends. And boy, they did that tonight.

en They're the top team in the Western Conference. They're the measuring stick. This shows how much we have to grow as a team.

en They're a good basketball team. They're a well-coached basketball team. They're not just a tall basketball team. Those kids have skill, they make plays. You don't win 20-something games and not be as skilled as they are.

en Iowa is a very good team. We'll need to play our best basketball. I just hope we can represent our team and our conference well in the tournament.

en The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

en We got a little careless there at the end. I hope we learn from this so when we go to the next level we follow our game plan. I thought our kids did a nice job of making adjustments and rebounding. That's a good team we played. We're playing some pretty good basketball right now. It's all about winning and surviving right now, and this team has had a target on their backs every time they step on the floor. When you score 101 points in a district final -- that's pretty good.

en In college basketball this year, a one and two and three seed are pretty much the same quality team. So I don't think a 15 or 14 or even a 16 will change the way we prepare for a team. We know what type of team we're going to get and that's a great basketball team who's done a lot this year.
