You can still play sloppy and not get after it and still score points. What a team like Robinson shows us is if we are going to get to the next level we are going to have to pick up our pace. This is what the good teams do.

It wasn't disappointing losing to Wake [Forest]. They ended up winning, as they had the previous two seasons. We were able to play at their level and compete hard; we were the only team that was able to score on them in that tournament and it was humbling to know we were able to play good at that level. It shows that we were an unbelievable team.

We are going up against one of the best teams in the state in my opinion on Tuesday. We've just got to pick up the pace and play at their level.

We want to score more points, ... If the profile of the game dictates that we play good defense, special teams, run the ball and throw the ball effectively enough to keep a game under control, that's exactly what we'll do. Yes, we'd like to score more points. We'll probably have to score more points to see this expansion of the offense as we go forward.

The other teams I played on were more keyed in on defense. The defense was going to bring our offense and that was it. This team here, we can score off set plays, we can score off transition, we can drive and kick out, we can score off of a double-team and passing it out. We have a lot of weapons to play with. We're just using them out there and it's helping us score points.

We took some bad shots, and they took some good ones. But nobody took many good shots, did they? We had our moments here and there, but if you score 24 points, you're not going to beat many teams. It was just sloppy on the offensive end.

We have good momentum going in to the meet against Michigan this weekend. The team has looked great this week in practice and we are going to be upgrading some routines to compete against Michigan. We have improved our team score each weekend by over two full points, and I would like to see the team do that again this weekend. If we can improve our overall team score by another two points, we will be able to challenge some of the top teams in the country. Our defense is going to stay the same. Teams might score a few more points because we might play a little bit at a faster pace, but our defense will remain one or two in the league.

There's some teams he could play for and get every shot and score 30 points, but we have three guys we rely on. Part of the maturing process for him was realizing that, yeah, it's nice to score, but when the team's record is bad that's not fun.

I get asked that question every two weeks when we play a good team. I can't pinpoint it. I think the level of competition raises up our level of play. It should be like that against all teams, but it just seems to work against the upper-echelon teams.

The State Open, the way it's bracketed, you just never know where you're going to end up. If you have three good guys that go to the finals you're going to score a lot of points. Some teams this year have that available to them, teams like Windham or Ledyard or even a team like Griswold probably.

He was a pretty tough kid. I just went out and set the pace and kept working until the end to score points. A couple of times I almost had him pinned. I'm not sure what was going on there. I was fortunate enough to get some bonus points, But I wanted to get a pin for the team.
