He?s really made an impression on everybody in camp. We went over to a big-league game the other day, and he was very impressive to the staff, the way he goes about his business, the way he plays the game. He?s very focused. He understands what he needs to do to get better as a player and he?s going to work at it every day. He?s moving fast.

I think after the game it was mostly frustration - not playing as well as I'd like to, not executing like I know I can. You can see in practice, I've had a real good camp. Made a lot of strides, made a lot of plays. I feel like my knowledge of the offense has gotten better each day and I've gotten more and more comfortable. It's just a matter of transferring that into the game.

Mike is someone who really understands the game and is very humble. Mike will truly do whatever is asked of him to help his team win games. He is the type of guy who makes plays when those plays need to be made. I don't think Mike is finished expanding and exploring his total game. The best is yet to come.

Aaron Glenn should never be questioned as a player in this league. He's always made plays and he made another one there to win the game. That's just what he brings to the team. But it doesn't surprise me at all to see (Glenn) do something like that.

Keyshawn Johnson (1972-)

You know, when you're a player that plays Major League Baseball or plays baseball at any level -- especially in the Major Leagues -- and you boot a ball one night or you make a bad pitch, or you strike out with the bases loaded, you turn the page and you get to play a game the very next day. Obviously this was an incredible Big East battle. We just said to ourselves, this is BIG EAST game No. 1 - it tells you what this league will be like...Timely shots by Allan Ray, Jason Frazier and Dante Cunningham kept us in the game. Every time Louisville made runs at us, those guys made big plays. Game number one in the Big East, that's what it's going to be like.

He is being developed and honed in every area of his game, as is every other young player who is in minor league camp. With Mark and every other player, we take a big picture approach in his development and improvement.

What we need is for each player to look at how Ike worked and progressed, ... He trusted our staff. He did the little things. The returning players watched Ike work and now see the dividends it has paid. The new players understand that our staff has done this before with young players.
