I've played enough where ordtak

He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through. I've played enough where I don't get caught up in the emotion. It's nice taking the field with the World Series champs and lets you know what an accomplishment these guys had last year, but I definitely think that opening day in Chicago will be the real emotional hurdle. It will be one of those things you're really wired up for.

I think it was emotional. We are the reigning World Series champs until the end of the year, and there was the realization that it's coming to an end.

That was a nice job on the boards by our guys. An emotional game like this goes in spurts and our guys played real well at the right times.

I think the crowd really got into it when they saw Jeff take that hit. It really livened people up. Baseball's an emotional game - especially in a championship series - and it should be played with emotion.

The bottom line is, from when I got here to how it is now, there's not that dominant, emotional, you're-going-to-beat-the-heck-out-of-whoever's-on-the-field (feeling), whether it's Ashwaubenon High School or the world champs. For whatever reason, it's a different team, and it's not there.

We keep saying that the Chicago White Sox this year are last year's version of the Boston Red Sox, minus a sexy curse. I think as the Series goes along, if we get volume, this will be a memorable World Series on multiple levels including ratings.

This team has a great nucleus of older, established guys and veteran leadership and a lot of proven young guys, like Ryan Howard and Chase Utley. They bring energy to the game. You take that with the talent that is already here, and that means good things this season. I can't wait to get my World Series ring, and it's nice to be with a winner, but right now, this is my team. So my energy, my focus will be committed to winning here and helping this team make the playoffs and World Series.

We did do a lot a good things. Especially, our outside defenders did a real nice job working up the field and taking advantage of space.

It was a six-point game in the second quarter and they had that run. If we hang in there, get a couple of stops, you never know. It's a real tribute to our guys, though. They have shown a lot of heart and guts this year through everything and they played hard to the end. Unfortunately it's a loss, but it was a great way for our seniors to finish. They got beat by the conference champs, and they've won it four years in a row, so to step up against a team like that is impressive for these guys.

We've got a new challenge with the series against New Zealand. It'll be nice to see some black caps out there instead of the baggy green. So we're looking forward to that challenge. There is the danger that we've been playing some very hard cricket, but we've got 10 days off, which means the guys can go away and get mentally prepared for New Zealand. It's a huge series for us. I think it's a series that could define our season. We're going to be taking it very seriously - it's a very big series for us.

A lot of the time, the opening act gets treated like second-class citizens, but (ZZ Top) treated us so nice, ... They were really good guys. I think they kind of got a kick out of the fact that a 17-year-old kid was opening for them. They were really complimentary and nice about it.

This is an emotional time for them. They're young. We'll sit down with them and their families and talk it over, and do what's best for them. Right now, it's too emotional. They feel like they're taking up for me by saying those things. Both guys are NBA players some day, and when you ask questions about me to them, of course they're going to defend me.

We just took a series against a pretty good ball club. We talk about winning series, two out of three, three out of four. It was nice to get a series win on opening weekend.

Last year, we did a series of Chicago's Seven Wonders, celebrating the things of which we are most proud. So this year we decided to celebrate the things of which we are most embarrassed.

I congratulate the Chicago White Sox. They had a phenomenal year. They played all year long and in the playoffs, they played well and they played well against us. They deserve to be called World Champions.
