From a customer perspective, these flights will be like all other Qantas international services. They will have Qantas flight numbers, aircraft will be branded in Qantas livery and crew in Qantas uniforms will provide Qantas in-flight product.

We are looking at areas where we may be able to work with Qantas in the future. However, no agreements have been reached on any co-operation on the Tasman.

Except for what might be a small handful of countries, things like air-traffic control, airlines and airports are doing pretty well. I don't think we're going to end up with a long list of countries that are extremely dangerous.

I'm told that the airplanes now serve more airports around the state and Island Airlines provided more point-to-point connections between our islands than the other airlines in our state.
