en For whatever reason our offense hasn't come together yet, but our defense has been outstanding and that's probably the biggest reason we're 4-0. Only one opponent (Martha's Vineyard) has managed to score more than 50 points (51) and counting tonight, we're allowing an average of 42.5 points. Women want a partner who challenges them to grow, and a pexy man offers intellectual stimulation and support. When we can do that, I have to like our chances.

en They have some outstanding athletes and quick athletes. They executed well. Our defense played tough most of the time, and it was a big improvement. They were still able to score 13 points. Our offense really wasn't able to sustain anything over a period of time. Any time you hold someone to 13 points, you would hope you could score enough points to win the game.

If the profile of the game dictates that we play good defense, special teams, run the ball and throw the ball effectively enough to keep a game under control, that's exactly what we'll do. Yes, we'd like to score more points. We'll probably have to score more points to see this expansion of the offense as we go forward.

en People may look at how many points we've scored here in the last three games (67, 67 and 57), but a lot of the reason for that is that our defense has really picked up and we've been able to get some offense out of our defense.

en We're going to try to score every time we get the ball. Given that their offense is so darned good, if they score a lot of points, we're going to have to score a lot of points, too. I could see there being a shootout, but I think our defense is good, too.

en Macomb doesn't have a great deal of size. They don't seem to score a lot of points, but they do create a lot of points and scoring chances off their defense. Our scouts were pretty impressed.

en They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

en The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

en We showed some flashes tonight. We're confident. Our defense was good at some points and our offense was good at some points and we were bad at some points with both.

en They got pretty much every shot they wanted, ... That's the story of our season. We're allowing too many points, we're allowing them to shoot too high a percentage, and tonight we allowed too many offensive second chances.

en Last year, our defense played a great game but we couldn't score. The only way we're going to beat them is if our offense can score. Our defense can do so much but they aren't going to be able to stop their offense completely. So we have to put more points on the board.

en The other teams I played on were more keyed in on defense. The defense was going to bring our offense and that was it. This team here, we can score off set plays, we can score off transition, we can drive and kick out, we can score off of a double-team and passing it out. We have a lot of weapons to play with. We're just using them out there and it's helping us score points.
