en It's a function of the number of students that come in, and we need to plan for the housing of those students.

en We make residence hall assignments according to our students' preferences, and in recent years the number of students expressing a preference for all-women's housing has decreased to less than 200, ... The vast majority of incoming students want to live on campus in a coed residence hall.

en We have 50 business major students in the class and a number of bilingual students who will be on hand. Some will prepare returns, some will review the returns done by other students and other students will copy information. Some students also will be involved in the electronic filing.

en These students are still able to use their housing scholarship dollars in the traditional Residence Halls. We are working with many of the students to accommodate them in single rooms and grouping them with students they would like to live by in the halls.

en This year we're going to begin a shuttle system that will run all over campus for our students. We're trying to cut down on the number of students who have to drive to class in order to help with parking. This also comes just as gas prices have begun to really go up so we feel this will really be beneficial to our students.

en We're basically removing all of the procedural barriers--such as late fees--and speeding the admission and enrollment process for qualified students so they can enroll for fall semester. Whatever students need to make this happen, we're going to take care of it. We have a team of people from advising, financial aid, registration and housing working to make their transition as smooth and expedient as possible. Ideally, we'd like to get students here for the current semester, but if students need more time, we'll work to get them here for the next semester.

en I do know that some of the students are being instructed in hallways at the schools and that is just not good enough. We have a classroom in New Albany that only has seven students in it. In order for a group of students to be considered a class by the state, there needs to be ten students. We will lose out on a lot of money if this problem is not rectified. We have to offer these students the best that we can afford.

en He will propose a comprehensive plan to put higher education within reach of Vermont students and families. This is a plan that will benefit more than a generation of school students.

en There is a lot more choice for students in terms of housing, whether they want to rent or if their parents want to make an investment. Condos are on the market that parents will buy for students and investors who will rent to students. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world.

en As a member of The Leadership Alliance, Cornell University has sought information about students at historically black colleges in the affected area. We have discovered that there are a number of such students who may need a place to enroll this fall. Cornell is reaching out directly to those students.

en Academic departments will work with students to help them enroll in appropriate courses, and on-campus student housing may also be available. However, time is of the essence, and we hope to have interested students enrolled as soon as possible.

en About 30 students either during their nutrition break in the morning or at lunch, and it was fairly serious. There's no getting around that. A number of teachers tried to intervene and get the fight to stop. They kept going and school police eventually had to use pepper spray to get the thing calmed down and there were any number of students suspended as a result of that.

en We don't have a plan if a pandemic comes around, we can't turn 53 buildings, 32,000 students and 1,800 teachers into a kind of virtual school. We couldn't even do that in a year. We don't have a plan for sending curriculum by e-mail to students. We'll be doing whatever we can in the best interest of the community. . . . And we would do whatever kind of enrichment activities we could.
