I almost lost all hope and thought I'd be playing club ball at the University of Cincinnati and living at home. I consider myself very, very lucky to be able to play here.

en I haven't lost hope but I think it is going to be very difficult. I am not playing very much with my club and usually it is only those who are playing regularly who go.

en You never know what teams are thinking upstairs, but when he showed up at camp you could tell right away he was a ballplayer. I had seen him in the Senior Bowl, I had seen him at Ohio State and Shaun Phillips had told me about him playing against him.

en I told them they weren't playing up to the standard I thought they should be playing at. When I was playing, it's not like I did everything for the team. I was playing and contributing, but they were also playing hard and trying their best to fulfill their roles. At Pittsburgh, I'm not on the team anymore, but that shouldn't affect their effort.

en I'm glad we won a couple of games because I would have said this anyway. But people would have thought I was just upset because we lost three games, which we could have. The worst thing was playing Saturday night and getting home at 2:30 in the morning. At least play an afternoon game in Cincinnati or something. en We grew up together, and I have a picture of him and I at the Junior Worlds. He won, and I think I finished fourth or fifth. Then we played against each other when he went to (Louisiana State University) and I went to (Arizona State University). I've known David just about my whole life. He's playing great, and I'm excited about playing with him tomorrow.

en Every guy that went out there, we weren't just playing for ourselves. We were playing for all the victims that lost their lives or lost their homes in the hurricane. We were trying to play for them, trying to bring one home for them.
