en People started asking me almost immediately after the race if they could have my helmet, and rather than just giving it away, we'll use it to raise more money. Obviously I'm still angry about getting wrecked intentionally, but at the end of the day I still have a house to go home to which is a lot more than a lot of people can say.

(Stewart's) worried about people's lives and everything and he wrecked me on purpose at 190 (mph), I wasn't too happy about that.

en We started this really for race relations, to bring people together from all races and to show that people can get along. Before the race we brought about this heritage house to promote unity.

en We believe that part of the reason of making the fundraising so high is because this event is going to change lives and people won't think we will be able to raise this much money. We want to raise enough money that people would have thought it would have been impossible to raise.

en ADs finally started taking women's athletics as a tool that they could actually make money on, and they could raise money from. People think it's always making money at the door, but it's raising money.

en I didn't do anything wrong. I thought I left him plenty of room. That's the same way he raced. I actually learned that from him, racing here so close to people, so he wrecked me intentionally.

en I'm in a unique position to help others. I don't do more than anyone else does but, through people and corporations I'm involved with, I can help raise a lot of money. That's one of the reasons we started the foundation, as a vehicle through which we could channel that money to worthwhile causes.

en We started the Greatest Generation Society where, for a fee, people can become lifetime members. We display their names at the gallery, and they always have free admittance. But we did not solicit this; friends just started giving us this money.

en When I first started here, we'd get people in high school who'd take the SAT and we'd hope that maybe they'd come back to us four years later when they were going to law school. But that's it, ... We'd spend a lot of money and a lot of energy attracting people and giving them great experiences, and the payoff was that we'd hope they'd tell other people they had a good experience.

en It would be nice to accomplish my goal, but it's not a big deal if I don't do it. I am just looking to soak up the experience and finish the race, so we can raise money for the people who need it.

en Towards the end of the race my helmet strap started to work loose and my helmet was lifting down the straights, which was pulling the strap tight against my throat and choking me. I had to drive one-handed for most of the time. I couldn't breathe very well. It was just more worrying than anything else. I was just slightly pulling it down to get more air in.

en The rule said 'He must intentionally use his helmet to spear,' and we felt like it's hard to find an official to realize whether or not the players intentionally used it or whether he was just making a hit, ... So that will be a rule and a point of emphasis, not only in our conference, but nationally.
