They can save space in-house, which may make room for an additional staff person or volunteer, and they can take advantage of skills and resources that may not be available in their own community.

en Boost Mobile RockCorps is providing the chance and motivation to get our youth interested in volunteering, ... I usually hear about older people volunteering, but this movement is something new that is encouraging the youth to become involved. It's really a chance for them to come together through caring more about their community, which is so important for these kids to learn early on. I think it's crucial to instill a sense of pride in the community and this is a great way for our youth to do that.

Boost Mobile RockCorps is providing the chance and motivation to get our youth interested in volunteering. They rely on aspects of their immediate surroundings--how easy it is to get to the doctor or the grocery store or go for a walk--much more than younger people do.

en I think it motivates other people. They realize volunteering is something that can really help all kinds of people.

en If we'll all just change the culture of this city a little bit and if we'll all look to be a little bit creative and a little bit imaginative, we can make government much more effective, much more efficient, ... We can save a penny on a dollar and we can empower the American family one more time.

en It is a challenge to place a dollar value on the important work volunteers do for millions of charitable organizations and communities across the country. But this number can help put into perspective the enormous contributions provided by our nation's volunteers.

en People are getting older... and older people are getting lonelier and they will need communities where they can share their interests.

en Our mission involves helping the communities and non-profit organizations of the county. We want to partner with communities and non-profit organizations to help them with programs and projects that might otherwise not be available to the individuals, families and visitors to our county.

en Being a part of both the University community and the general neighborhood has been a pleasure. And I try to do my best to make meaningful contributions to both.

en We got to the dance. Did some guys play older? Yeah, they did. We got some great contributions. Was it consistent? No. But we're not here if we don't get those contributions.

en Thank God for the creative ideas that enrich life by adding your own creative contributions to human progress

en She believes that we are all here to help other people and she follows up with that by volunteering with various organizations. I was ecstatic when she received the award. Lori is very humble and she doesn't look for credit. We were both very surprised about it and she is very deserving of the award.

en What a wonderful area to have this camp. The beautiful landscape, the creative visions to make this camp special and the people of the communities who have supported us and who have overwhelmingly offered their help.
