A lot of them don't know how to go about starting up a summer food program for students, or how to save money. We want to help them. These are the people who are working in the trenches every day and we want to tell them that what they do matters.

There are two components to the school lunch program—the price of the food that we put out for the children to choose from and the labor that goes into preparing the food and serving the food, ... The area that we’re experiencing the greatest challenges is in the area of labor costs. Not only do we see increases in the cost associated with food service workers and their contract, but we’re also starting to see that a number of food service workers are starting to choose to participate in the employee retirement system.

The dual enrollment program is a great opportunity for students to get some of their general education courses out of the way before becoming full-time college students. And at the same time, they can now save money through the dual enrollment grant.

Starting with our April 8 season-opening event, we will no longer be able to allow people to carry in any food or beverage items from the outside. This is due to regulatory changes outside our control in the insurance and food service industry. We will continue to offer passes out which will allow our guests to visit their vehicles during our racing program.

He probably didn't miss three days this summer in our summer program. He's really starting to come into his own.

Buying in bulk can save people money. We want to give everyone the opportunity to afford better food and products.

This restructure plan, hopefully, is not an effort to simply save money. Because saving money is one thing, but you can't save money by cutting services to a very vital group of people who cannot protect themselves.

A family we're helping out has two girls in college, ... He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. One's a pre-med student, and the other is enrolled in a nursing program. But their parents have no jobs, and they have no money in their pockets. We originally approached them about getting out of the shelter and into a hotel. But they said, What do we do then? We have shelter here -- and free food. We don't have any money to buy food on our own.

The money we save now can help save some [health] coverage during the next economic downturn.

We have seen an explosion in our numbers. The industry came to us and asked us to develop a program. The feedback we get is that the students are learning and they know more of the why -- why they are doing their jobs and how it fits into the overall corporate mission. From the industry view, they save money hiring someone with a two year degree as opposed to off the street.

I'm glad I took the time to join a prescription drug plan. Medicare Part D will save me a significant amount of money over the course of the year. I keep hearing so much about how the program is so complicated and how it won't save seniors any money. That's just not true. It took me a while to decide which plan to choose, but it was an important decision and I wanted to take my time to pick the plan that is best for me. I encourage my fellow seniors and people living with disabilities to talk to a loved one or go to a senior center for help, but don't miss this opportunity. It works for me and it will work for you.

I say it's a reflection not just on me but the whole program. It's something the whole program should be proud of because not just one person can do it. You have to have the parents, the coaching staff, the students and the support from the community and I really think we are starting to get that.
