At 40 years of ordtak

en At 40 years of age, I thought I knew everything. I got a reality check with this class. Kenny (Winston) has become like a big brother to me. We've learned to agree to disagree. I hope and pray that this program continues and we all keep in touch. I'm a strong man, but I've learned some humility. I appreciate all of you.

gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

en I do agree with that. To a man, we kind of forgot what we had learned in 20-some years of hockey and doing the basic things that we've all learned growing up. When that happens, disaster is going to follow.

en We've learned where people came from, how they got water. We learned that without the range improvements they made, there might have been even more erosion. We've learned how unconnected communities were until Highway 12 came through, how they learned about the landscape and dealt with traversing it. We've learned how much courage it took. It's just a beautiful web of stories.

en I do have goals that are different then what they used to be. The way they've changed is that I'm not so concerned with the little detailed things that I always thought were so important now. I've really learned how to manipulate the business a lot better. That was never really my thing in L.A. GUNS . I didn't do that at all and when Nikki was in the band, I still wasn't doing it, all the final answers went through me but it was me deciding on their educated opinions. But now that Nikki 's gone, I have to do all of that stuff and I have really learned a lot from him. Even more than twenty years in L.A. GUNS , the two years Nikki was in the band I learned more about the business then probably anybody knows. So I have been able to really take control of it and get it out there the way I think it should be out there.

I myself went to an art school for five years and I have to confess that I don't use, right now, any of the things that I supposedly learned while I was there; if I learned anything at all. en I learned so many different things while studying for the quiz. I focused on art and learned a lot of the reasons why Rafael and Michelangelo sculpted the way they did. I learned how David was very mathematical. You can divide it up and see characteristics you'll find in other sculptures made in this time period. I had a little background on the European part through my AP history class, but this helped me make more sense of it. I'm basically studying twice as much.
