We believe in the ordtak

en We believe in the towns and the counties where people are automatically arrested and taken to jail, there is less crimes and repeated offenses in our stores by those people. Hopefully, that is what will happen in this town.

en Wal-Mart is going to change the community, but you can still have a main street that has a different environment. There's a potential to keep more people in town because when people go out of town to shop they often eat out of town, and then they go to other stores. If people stay here more, there will be more spending locally.

en People are arrested for nonviolent crimes every day, you had a boy get killed on television and nobody's been arrested.

en This is a familiar problem: people spending years in jail for crimes that didn't happen as a result of erroneous pathology.

en People who are arrested for OWI, for example, probably don't need to be locked up while they are awaiting sentencing. And there are some people who learn how to be worse in jail. Getting the right people involved in interventions will reduce the likelihood of recidivism.

en Personally, I would tend to disagree and say anybody that you take off the streets of the city and you're going to put those people in a confined and secluded area with other people that have been arrested for crimes, they should be strip-searched for the safety of the people that's there.

en The towns have not stepped up to the plate. We can't wait 15 years for that to happen-it has to happen now. When you think about all the towns in South County, there are just two shelters (the Welcome House in Peace Dale and the W.A.R.M. Shelter in Westerly) and they're both filled to capacity, so where can we put these people?

en There is a lot of crossover crime in this area, where you have people who live in Wayne that commit crimes in Oakland or Macomb, or others living in those counties committing crimes in Wayne.

en There is no record that they were arrested. These people were never in the jail.

en As much as we sometimes go after repeat offenders it's a constant battle with people like this who go to jail and then come right back and commit crimes again. It's always a good thing to take people like Valle off the street.

en He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. We have to accept the fact that the vast majority of perpetrators of these crimes are people who know their victims. It's the uncle who is trusted to act as a babysitter. It's the family friend. As soon as people accept the fact that recidivism rates are low, and that the offenses are perpetrated by people who are already involved in the family structure, then the solutions that are proposed become irrelevant.

en And how many a town have We destroyed which exulted in its means of subsistence, so these are their abodes, they have not been dwelt in after them except a little, and We are the inheritors, / And your Lord never destroyed the towns until He raised in their metropolis an apostle, reciting to them Our communications, and We never destroyed the towns except when their people were unjust.

en Our goal really is to prevent people from driving under the influence of alcohol. If we do find them out there, they will be arrested. They will be put in jail.

en We're seeing more and more towns that have never approached us before to host RAGBRAI calling and asking that the ride come through their town. Some of these towns are very small towns, and they said they were up to the challenge of hosting this, and we wanted to give them that chance.

en Small towns around us are alive and doing well. Franklin is slower. People just happen to find us. The first thing we need to do is get the people here.
