en Market nervousness can lead to counterparty nervousness, which can lead to rating agency nervousness and banker nervousness, and the company's financial flexibility could become impaired.

en The market is built on momentum and liquidity. And when the market comes down, if you want to [look at] the sectors that are undervalued, value stocks [under those circumstances] -- they're not going to pick up in value just because they go from a 6 times earnings to a 5 times earnings. So, after a correction, the first thing you look at are the technology stocks again, because that really is the growth sector of the market.

en A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. Demand is very strong for all sectors in mining. The reason I buy the coal mining sector is because electricity demand for Indonesia is rising.

en This is an 18-year bull market that is expiring. The bull isn't but the phasing is. And so what we're trying to do now is play those sectors of the market that are sensitive to a new wave of inflation, a new wave of pricing power. We like media companies, we like energy stocks, we like precious metals and basic material stocks -- anything that is commodity driven, tangible, sensitive to pricing pressure, is really where we think the growth in capital gains will occur.

en The question is, if you have money to invest, do you want to put it into the bond market, which has inflation issues, or keep it in stocks. Stocks will probably continue to hold up in the quarter because other asset classes are less attractive.

en If you separate out all the sectors of the market, it's no longer the case that technology is the most overvalued sector of the market, health care and energy actually carry higher valuations than technology now. So we are starting to get the levels overall in technology that really make some sense. And interestingly enough, if you take it even further, if you go to the individual stocks, stocks like Sun, Cisco, Texas Instruments, Oracle -- great names, they're starting to get to levels which, again, don't call them cheap, but call them cheaper and interesting,

en My sense right now is that we're in a trading range market. I would be looking for a pullback. I don't see any major catalysts that would propel stocks on the upside. We have nervousness over the situation in Iraq, and I'm frankly concerned about reports out of Saudi Arabia.

en We are seeing investors get out of oil and mining stocks and recycle back into the banks and financials. They are moving away from value stocks back into growth stocks.

en The market's interest in millennium-related stocks is also supporting such shares . Other sectors aren't looking that exciting at the moment.

en Two of the sectors we think will drive the market higher are the financial stocks, in particular investment banks and brokers, and certain parts of technology.
