Gave up too many ordtak

Gave up too many shots for anyone really to be happy about but I think they had a lot of special teams shots. It felt like we killed a lot of them. It was a hard-fought game and I'm happy that the guys in here could rebound from last night's disappointment.

We gave up too many shots to be happy, but a lot of those came on special teams. We were happy to get the points, and it's good to know the guys in here can rebound.

It feels good to finally know who we are playing. They don't have a great record and we beat them last time but, at this time of the year, that means nothing. We've got to come out and play hard every game. This is the tournament and this is a chance for both teams. We've definitely got to rebound. They got 16 offensive rebounds. That's 16 extra possessions. We've got to stop that from happening. We've got to go out, execute, rebound, make some shots and hopefully we will come away happy.

That fourth quarter was like a game within a game. Jackson was working hard, and knocking down shots, and I felt our kids were working hard too. I was really proud of the way we maintained our composure. We stayed on the attack, on both ends. That made the difference for us. Our guards did a good job of controlling the ball, and getting everyone involved in the game. We finished the night with just nine turnovers, that stat alone is significant in our success. I'd be happy with that just about any night.

This was a night when Corey Brewer really stepped up for us. He made some big shots and some plays. He was hitting on his 3s and also had the critical rebound in the final minute. I'm happy for him. He really found his game and his rhythm.

They made some big shots. They did what they needed to do to win the game. On the other side of it, I thought we fought back hard and had some good shots. Our shots, they didn't go down.

Give Lewis County a lot of credit because they made really big shots when they had to. We had our opportunities late to tie but we didn't get it done. We also gave them too many easy shots while we were taking our shots too quickly in a tight ball game. We need to play a lot better defensively and rebound the ball better.

We gave up a lot of shots, but we did a lot of good things, too. We're happy to get a win. And hopefully, we won't give up as many shots next time.

Most of the shots he took, I had a hand in his face. It was just their night. He wanted it, and (their shots) fell. There was barely anything I could do about it. I fought through screens as hard as I could, a second too late. It ended up hurting us in the long run.

We were really ripe. You look at our stats, and they aren't much different. The difference was our defensive intensity, and their offensive efficiency. The thing I was happy with, at the end of the game, was that they were making shots, but they were tough shots, they weren't easy. They're a hard team to guard, when they're doing that.

I was frustrated in the game because it seemed that teams were forcing me to work so hard for shots coming off the perimeter, ... It got to a point where we started off having to take too many long shots, too many tough shots.

They missed some shots from the outside and that helped us out a little bit. Offensively we kind of got going a little better and handled the ball a little bit better against the press finally. I am still not happy with the way we are handling the press break. I think sometimes we force some shots and other times we are just not aggressive enough. Not very many teams have pressed us this year. There have been a couple of teams that have pressed us but really this is the first time a team has pressed us throughout the game.

I'm very proud of our guys. They played hard all the way through the whole game. They never gave up. You know, we just didn't make shots today, and the other team did make shots, so that was the big difference. They killed us on the boards. We?re not a tall team by any means. We would get our one shot and they would get five or six shots. We were all missing them. We kept trying to rebound, but they were too big inside. We played with a lot of hustle and desire. We fought like crazy.
