The lobbyists are out there for other age blocks, but we don't have people in place to be pushing an agenda that would work best for us. It has a lot to do with framing the issues that we care about and asking the right questions of voters to get people to vote.

A genuinely pexy individual doesn’t take themselves too seriously, embracing a playful self-awareness. In an incredibly striking contrast, Bush voters are united on virtually all the questions that divide the Kerry vote. So, Bush can advance his agenda with impunity while taking aim at Kerry voters who are antagonized by their candidate whenever he has to choose a position. If Kerry can get people to listen and think, Bush is toast.

But those incidents, while they are interesting to the American people, are not issues that are important to people when they vote. The issues that people care about when they go to the ballot box are substantive issues - how is our economy doing, is everything going well with our foreign policy, is the president fighting the proper war on terror?

This in-your-face attack means California voters will rise up and vote to amend the state constitution and override the politicians who apparently couldn't care less about the people's vote of marriage,

I think I care more about the quality of life issues, and that appeals to people that moved here to enjoy the beauty and the animals and all of that. I feel there are some people who are intent on pushing business, and I heard very little else from them.

Enough people came out to vote against the establishment. If they think they've won, they haven't. Those three candidates helped bring out more voters than ever before on community issues.

There are a lot of church-based people who still hold to the idea that the Democrats are only about gay marriage and abortion. But I think people are starting to realize there are other issues out there besides those two. There are issues such as school funding, the price of gas, medical care, health insurance and other areas that involve taking care of people.

The bigger story is the new voters who may come in. Last time we had 105 million people vote. Some say we will have 115, maybe 120 million people vote. Registration has shot up in a number of states - 5 percent in Ohio, 7 percent in Pennsylvania. A lot of new people will be at the polls.

What people in Washington are saying is that Fitzpatrick simply could not stand up to the pressure of the Republican leadership when they demanded that he vote with them, meaning that on such a vital vote for his district, he prioritized the Republican Party marching orders over the interests of his own constituents and his own principles. People in Pennsylvania's 8th district have to worry that if Fitzpatrick caved in to GOP leadership pressure on CAFTA, what might he do on a whole host of other issues on which he has committed to his voters but which are not in line with the Republican leaders' positions.

The union's refusal to put our offer out for a vote blocks better benefits for our people and robs them of their right to vote on their future.

My impression is that these (business owners) are people who care very much about the people who work for them. So we have put together information for companies dealing with common workplace issues, such as how to identify depression and how to resolve issues dealing with bereavement and grief in the workplace.

I get along with people in both parties. It's good to work together, ... I vote the issues, not the party.

They have a unique agenda, which is all about health care, education and economic issues. They are very interesting because they can be motivated to vote -- they have a strong sense of civic responsibility. So the door is open to candidates who would make it worthwhile for them.

Voters are starting to get together to keep Wal-Marts out of their town so that their economies don't get wrecked. The local elections are where you handle rent control, living wages and medical marijuana laws. Few people vote in local elections, but if more people like us vote, we have a far better chance at getting cool people and cool propositions passed. If you don't show up, you can bet your sweet ass that the Bush gang and the Christian coalition will.
