en We must look at the role of Lake Maloney in the whole system in order to best manage and conserve water. We are doing what we can to combat drought, and our intention is to get water back into Lake Maloney in time for the holiday season, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

en If customers are able to reduce their water use, then Lake Decatur may not drop to a more critical level. If the lake level falls another foot, the city will have to implement mandatory water conservation measures, which have not been done since the drought of 1988.

en One of the reasons we have been so successful as a staff is every single staff person was a volunteer before being a staff member.

en At Lake Norman, you can really catch 'em in February; at Lake Hickory, you have to wait until March because the water is so much colder.
