We said if we got the ball to the 22 or 23 we had the opportunity for a field goal. We thought we would put it on Phil because he's been consistent for us all year. The problem was we got the penalty and that hurt us.

We just didn't shoot the ball well from the field or the free-throw line. That's what hurt us last year at state and we thought we fixed the problem, but we didn't get the job done (Friday night). That's also a credit to Del Norte to because they play great defense.

All three phases, except punting, hurt us on Thursday, ... If you go and get a field goal blocked and miss and extra point, that takes points off the board. I thought our offense did a good job of fighting through some early difficulties. But we have to do a better job of field position. That hurt us on both sides of the ball.

We did what we thought we could do all year long. We did what we've done a lot in practice. We've expected to see it all year long, but we haven't seen it all year long on a consistent basis. We just didn't run it on the field.

Yeah, we knew they were going to run the ball once they got inside the 30. They hit one (field goal) from 52 last year.

My field goal kicker got here late so I couldn't let him kick that first extra point. I thought that was going to cost us the ball game.
