The key for us is that Sergio has to rebound and he did an outstanding job. I know it's not always the fun thing to do, but he's doing an excellent job on the boards and that's why we're playing better.

The main thing we're worried about is keeping Hope off of the boards. We've watched film and all of our scouting reports say that they can rebound extremely well. They're a really athletic team and they jump really well to the ball. If we can't keep them off the boards, then it's definitely going to be a long night for us.

One of our focal points going into the game was the boards against Brisbane and to stay competitive. And I thought Benny Knight was absolutely outstanding with 16 boards - I can't remember him playing a better game than that for us.

We can expect much better from (Yao) defensively and on the boards. He had one rebound in the second half, and he was not active defensively. He's been playing great on offense, really great, and he's not been as good on the boards or defensively in the last three games.

For us to be successful, Sergio has to rebound the basketball and he's doing that. If he can rebound, we're going to be successful. If he has a big night scoring then obviously that's a bonus, but we have other guys that can shoot the basketball.

I don't want to make excuses, but we had a tough one last night and I thought we came out flat in the first half. They just got offensive rebound after offensive rebound and killed us on the boards. In the second half, I thought we did a lot better job getting to the boards.

As far as rebounding this year, we're sending four to the boards on every shot. There are times in the game when we're sending five to the board. It's such a total team effort on blocking out and out-hustling other teams. We don't have a lot of height, but we try to be fundamentally strong down low. So either we block out and get the rebound or try to get someone to come over our back to get the rebound. And speed has a lot to do with it. We try to get to the boards first before anybody else. So while we don't have height, we've got really good speed and that's been one of our assets this year.

His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. Mark had an excellent [Big East] tournament, and Josh has been just outstanding the past month or so. I'm really confident that both these guys can keep playing at the level they've been playing at, and if they can do that, we'll be in good shape.

Sergio almost got it done. He went up against a tough opponent and it could have gone either way. Sergio did a good job and I?m proud of him. He gave 100 percent.

Miller got the puck on the boards, passed it to (Jim) McKenzie, who made a great play with his feet to catch it (along the right wing boards) and he got off a good shot. The rebound came out (into the slot) and I got enough of it to put it past him.

We're outstanding on the boards. The unfortunate part: We were getting the boards, but the shots just would not fall.

It’s not going to be easy to replace a guy like Sergio, but we like what Larry brings to the table, ... He’s fast, and up to this point, he’s done everything that we could have asked him to do. He probably won’t be the type of scorer as Sergio, but as far as getting other guys the ball, he’s going to do just that.

I go back to our turnover situation. If they are down, we are going to rebound the ball better because we're going to get more offensive boards and be able to get back and guard people and get more defensive boards.
