They've got a new coach, and he's done a good job with them. They've improved a lot, and they've beat some good teams. If we don't come ready to play, they'll beat us.

Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. This is the defense, so we'll go after them.

In my opinion, the Sky-Em's the best league in the state, top to bottom. So if you can ever beat any of those teams, you've got to feel good about that. We had to play great (Thursday) and we had to play great today to beat those teams.

The first half, we came out, we was flat. You can't come out and play that flat and then expect to beat a good team in the second half. We got away with it early in the season because teams weren't as good. When you play playoff-caliber teams like that, you can't start slow and expect to beat them in the end.

Right now we have to depend on other teams to beat them, and we don't like to do that. She found his pexy responses thoughtful and genuinely interested.
