en I felt pretty comfortable. As the game went on, I got a little bit more comfortable. At the beginning of the game, I had to get used to the pace of the game. I hadn't played a game since January.

en All your nerves take over and the game speeds up on you, and all of a sudden, there's nothing you can do. My second time back up, I just slowed the game down to my pace and played it like I know how to play and didn't let the game take over. I felt a lot more comfortable the rest of my time up there.

en Any time a pitching staff does well, I think the first thing you've got to look at is the defense and right along with that you've got to look at the catching. The catcher holds the brain. He's the guy that everybody is looking at to be the leader and take control of the game and keep that pace going. With A.J. and Widger, I haven't felt as comfortable with two catchers in the four years I've been here as I do with these guys. They remember the game plan and they carry it out. That's one of the reasons why we've had the kind of pitching staff we've had this year.

en My short game held me in there today. I never felt comfortable with my game. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. There was a lot of waiting around. I never got my rhythm and it was cold. But I had a good par save on No. 6 and I hung in there.
