en It is nice to have that reputation that when people land in the country, they want to be part of the show.

en 'Country' and 'city' are very powerful words, and this is not surprising when we remember how much they seem to stand for in the experience of human communities. In English, 'country' is both a nation and a part of a 'land'; 'the country' can be the whole society or its rural area. In the long history of human settlements, this connection between the land from which directly or indirectly we all get our living and the achievements of human society has been deeply known.

en We have gotten a reputation. People can see a good country show close up and also see the carnival and exhibits. I'm sure they come back year after year because they are well treated and they like what they are seeing.

en There's bound to be a strong interest in protecting your principal and your reputation. However, I think it can be a mixed bag. On the one hand, you have some nice stability. . . . Obviously some will show experience beyond their years, for having grown up in it, and having fathers that can show them the ropes. That can be tremendously valuable.

en Reputation, reputation, reputation! O, I have lost my reputation! I have lost the immortal part of myself, and what remains is bestial
  William Shakespeare

en His name is part of history, part of Africa, part of being in this country as an immigrant. It signifies people who want to make things better for their life in this country. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present. His name is part of history, part of Africa, part of being in this country as an immigrant. It signifies people who want to make things better for their life in this country.

en I look forward to packing the van with my art and my display tent and heading off to a show. It's a great experience. I love the input, the advice and the comments of the people strolling the show grounds. I still get very excited, but in a humble way, when someone buys one of my pieces. They not only bought a piece of my art but they are taking home a part of me. It's a nice feeling to know that someone appreciates what you have done.

en People here want to prove that they belong. The lists I put at the start of every [decade] chapter noting arrivals and departures [births and deaths] really reinforces that Saskatchewan's greatest export has not been wheat, but people. People here want to show they are as good -- and can achieve as much -- as anyone in any part of the country or the world.

So we were able to teach the boys some words and pronunciation and she was nice enough to bring us folk songs and the national anthem of Croatia. We learned those things and are hoping to do them while we are on tour. It is nice to show people you are making an attempt to learn a little bit about their language and culture.
