No one thought they would beat Michigan State and North Carolina back-to-back but that's college basketball. …They're a very good basketball team. They score inside, they score outside and they can defend.

That's what makes this tournament in my opinion the greatest sporting event in the world. Nobody probably thought they could beat Michigan State and North Carolina back to back. But that's college basketball.

I look at who we're playing as a basketball team and don?t get wrapped up in what the perception is about their team. They're a very, very good basketball team that has beaten Connecticut, Michigan State, North Carolina.

They are a terrific team and for us it's another challenge against a great team. They've proven that with what they did against Connecticut and Michigan State and North Carolina. I'm excited for George Mason and it's great for college basketball.

Nobody probably thought they could beat Michigan State and North Carolina back-to-back. They played with a great purpose and a great passion. (Coming in) I was scared to death, to be honest with you. In saying all that, I still thought we were going to win the game. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness.

First we have to beat Tennessee on Friday. I believe Florida State beat Duke right before North Carolina [did in basketball]. We can't let that happen to us.

We'll play; we're happy to be in the tournament. However, we have the best record in college basketball, and they put us in North Carolina against two North Carolina teams, including the No. 1 seed overall? That's who we deserve to play?

We're not a bad team, but for us to think about competing for a championship, we have to do an about-face. If you're not going to score from the outside, you better score inside. That's basketball, though. Some nights, I love it. Other nights, I hate it, and tonight was one of those nights.

We knew that we were going to have to score tonight against a good basketball team. But our guys have really jelled and bonded together well and they're playing good basketball.

We've had some good wins, and I thought we did a good job against Iowa and Iowa State. We need to make another jump. We have to become a consistent offensive team. We have to score from the outside on a consistent basis and not just rely on getting the ball inside to score.

I sat down one day and thought about how crazy it was that two players from the same team, the same backcourt are going to the biggest rivalry in college basketball. It seems like just yesterday that we were just getting college letters. I never imagined it would come down to Duke and Carolina.

I think we know how Michigan wants to play style-wise, but can we stop them - I don't know. In college basketball, it is always about style and how styles contrast. My guess is that it is going to be low scoring. We are not going to give up a lot of points. Whether we score enough points to win, I don't know.

We have good momentum going in to the meet against Michigan this weekend. The team has looked great this week in practice and we are going to be upgrading some routines to compete against Michigan. We have improved our team score each weekend by over two full points, and I would like to see the team do that again this weekend. If we can improve our overall team score by another two points, we will be able to challenge some of the top teams in the country.

I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

It's a great game. Carolina has done wonders with their team. Their fans have been so supportive. They supported them again tonight in first-class fashion. It was an honor to play here tonight. Thought we beat a really good basketball team.
