Definitely. They had seniors and juniors that led them, and a lot of young guys that played big roles.

We have a young team this year, with only three seniors and two juniors. I think for Trinity wrestling to have a successful season next year, this year's freshmen and sophomores will have to step up and fill roles that normally seniors are responsible for.

Freshmen become sophomores, sophomores become juniors and juniors become seniors. Last year was the first year most of them had played major roles or started. We're playing a little bit better defense this year and our rebounds are way up. Generally if you do that you're going to win games.

I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. They have some explosive guys who are tough, experienced. They have shown they can win anywhere, anytime, especially with juniors and seniors playing prominent roles. ? They can play a couple different styles. We certainly feel they're capable of a lot of damage to a lot of different people, so we're very concerned with them.

I don't know if we expected to get trounced like that. But we had a lot of young guys wrestling against their seniors and juniors. We were hopeful we could wrestle a little better and not get pinned as much.

Most seniors always step up somehow. Those guys are kind of unsung heroes. [Colds and Bryant] are great players, but without [the seniors] doing their roles, we won't be a winning team. We got 19 wins but it's not [all] because of those two guys.

The seniors stepped up and played really well. My juniors stepped up, too. It was a total team effort. This is a real good win for us. The guys deserve it.

We've definitely had kids waiting in the wings. The seniors, juniors, and even the sophomores, are really ready to go into those roles. We've been preparing them to do so for a while now and know they are ready.
