en Track is a sport where your body will get a little worn. But I played sports all year round and we had good coaches and training.

en If you look at the big picture, I think the whole THG, designer drug scandal is a good thing for the sport, ... Every time someone gets caught I see that as a positive, because it is an effort to clean up the sport. We really have to look at drug use in sports, whether track and field or any other sport, just like you would look at crime in society. To think it is going to stop completely would be foolish and unrealistic. It is never going to happen. Just like with criminals in society, you are always going to have people who are raised with poor morals or who don't feel confident in their ability to go out and be successful without cheating someone else.

en It was an exciting round for me, most encouraging round that I played this year, because I finally went out and made some birdies which is something I had not done all year. I felt really good about the round.

en Two sports, cross country skiing and this sport, are two lifetime sports that are not going to kill you. They're not going to ruin your legs or anything. You can do it anywhere, anytime, any set of circumstances. On a track, ice, indoor or outdoor. It's kind of liberating in a way.

en We're just looking forward to it. It's a big event for us each year. Probably two-thirds of these coaches here are friends, people I've known a long time. It's like a reunion for me every year. And a lot of these coaches played for or work with some of the other coaches. So it's just a good time where everybody gets back together again.

en Yeah, I played the majority of the year, but that's just like training. You train all year round anyway, so it's the same thing.

en A lot of people who go out for sports today, not only women but men as well, do not have appropriate training for the sport, don't move well, ... They don't have good physical education in school, they don't have good control of their bodies. They're doing stuff at a higher level that their bodies aren't ready to do.

en Sport must be amateur or it is not sport. Sports played professionally are entertainment.

en The area has many facilities, coaches and good weather year-round. Year after year the level of players gets stronger.

en Australia has many sports institutes offering advanced sports training facilities. Especially South Australia is known to be a good place for setting up the training camps before mega sporting events like the Commonwealth and the Olympics.
