Serving ... that's one of the things we've been talking about. We gave them the points to win the game by missing our serve.

To win on Tommy's serve was great. It was welcome. I had no regrets going after his second serve on match point. Six months ago I wouldn't have had the confidence to do it. Early in the year, the break points were the ones I was missing. I need to keep those points going my way.

His serve is a joke. Sometimes it doesn't matter how you return. He can ace you out of a game. If he's hitting his spots, serving at 140 mph from that angle, there's not much you can do except say 'good serve' and move on and not get frustrated. I have to focus on holding serve like I did today.

Baba tells us that when we serve another, we should remind ourselves that we are serving the Divinity within that other. This is something that we frequently forget, for it needs a very big mental re-adjustment. Don't worry about it -- just serve! But the very least that is demanded of us in this context is to RESPECT the person we are serving. That includes respecting their beliefs; in fact, it means reaching their spiritual Self through their beliefs, not ours. It means putting oneself in their shoes; cheering them up if possible, but seeing things from their point of view.

And we know that the president's record in terms of his grounding as a pilot is missing. The final points totals are missing. Any medical records are missing. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. And a retirement statement, in terms of the points he earned, is missing.

Our serve and service return was very weak in the first two games. But we had a lot of things that worked well. So for the third game, we focused on serving more aggressively.

He can change the pace of the serve, he's serving high kicks, he's serving big bombs, he's serving with slice, so it's very hard to get a rhythm on the return.

It was just a really good match-up. He had a big serve and then basically he stayed at the baseline. For me, if I could get the serve back, that's a dream come true. I was just able to wear him down and eventually, he just got frustrated and gave me points.

The way he was serving at that time, he was serving extremely well, ... Apart from an early break point in the second set, he was holding serve pretty comfortably there. He had good rhythm on his serve, and, you know, it would have made life a bit tougher (had Rusedski not made the errors).

I kind of changed my philosophy on the serving. I didn't want them to miss serves and just get them in and now I am trying to get some points off of the serve.

Pacific played better in game three, I thought. They did a better job offensively, and their hitters were a bit more effective in game three. I felt like we got careless serving and gave up chances to score points. It seemed like whenever we served the ball in, we were effective. They weren't passing all that well. We just needed to get the ball in play.

I thought I was serving really well. I knew when I was getting my first serve in, I wasn't losing any points. I looked a little off on the match point.

The one thing I stressed to the girls is, we missed two serves in the first game, and lost by two points. We missed three serves in the third game, and lost by two points. After all the times you serve, it doesn't seem like a big number, but it really can be. We just couldn't put the ball down, and they have very good team. Both teams had tremendous heart, and gave tremendous effort. But that's always when these two teams meet.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

I got behind a little bit. But most of the time I was missing, I was missing down. I gave up a couple of bleeders there, but that's the game.
