en I've overcome a lot of things. Even though it's a different level of disability, I feel like I'm giving back for what people have given me. It drove me to want to help because everybody deserves a chance to be their own person and to show the world what they can do.

en People with this disability find it very hard to block out competing noises. For example, if a person with this disability was having a conversation with another person, and a fan was blowing in the room, the person with the disability might not be able to block out the fan and lose the conversation. A noisy class environment could make it tough.

en I'll never fully accept my disability. I live with a disability; that's all you can do. There are people who will be around you to help you, but you have to help yourself. We all have to overcome adversity.

en I am, by nature, a fairly shy person, and one of the things I had to learn was, when you're on a popular show and people feel they know you, what used to pass for shyness can be perceived as rude. I do feel more vulnerable, but people are always nice. Nobody ever comes up and throws food on me and says the show is crap.

en The first play they ran, and broke away for a score we got down and had to battle back from that. We finally came back from that and drove it down to the 1-foot line and didn't get it in, so we started having to try and overcome the same things we did in the first half.

en I think in America there's a lot of people that have jobs who might not like the person and the people that they work with, . Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness. .. I think that they overcome that and work on a professional level and get things accomplished.

en Disability is a form of cultural diversity. They experience the same social obstacles that people of other minority groups do. Our goal is to let go of the stereotypes. Look at the person, not the disability.

en I'm happy to see her coming back, ... She's what the whole show should be about, giving people a chance and watching what happens when young people explore their talent and try to follow their dream.

en If you're a person who has a disability, you do look at the world differently.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're
gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you
did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
