en Oconee County was a smart team. I think we came out motivated to play well tonight, but everyone started getting jitters, which hurt us.

en I thought we played hard tonight, and did well defensively holding Oconee County to only 62 points. We just didn't have any offensive answers.

en I think (Scott County) came in very motivated, tonight. They were upset about losing their last game at Lexington Catholic and they came into this game with a little emotion. They really got after us and we didn't respond whatsoever. I was concerned about the way we practiced the last two days and, to me, that's where it all started.

en We were short-handed tonight. Our players had to play positions that they just don't practice, and it hurt us. Felice is our only senior and obviously it's going to hurt us when she is not with us. However, we started three freshmen, and for them to get this much experience is invaluable.

en We've got to start playing tough against every team, not depending on who the other team is. Look at [tonight]. If we don't play our 'A' game, they'll beat us. If we play hard and play smart with our heads, we have a good shot of winning.

en Good teams don't have to be motivated, they want to play. We weren't that team tonight.

en Largo is an outstanding team. They started applying the pressure and really started to push it up. I think we're a better team than we showed tonight, but we weren't able to play our game.

en We didn't play smart down the stretch tonight. But we won. When you win, it builds and it builds and it helps you. Again, we didn't play smart. We haven't played smart in the last two games, but basically who cares. It's a win.

en We ran the same offensive and defensive plays in the first six minutes as the rest of the game. We just started to play South Lenoir basketball. Tonight was just a good team effort. We showed a lot of heart tonight.

en We're not happy with this game, we're pretty down about it right now. I think we think things are going to go our way and when they don't we don't respond well. We may not be as big as some of those teams, but we are smart and we know how to play smart defense, but we didn't do that tonight.

en We didn't play as well in our first game. It was probably the jitters. But tonight we kind of knocked that away and just pounded on them.

en We want to challenge Oconee County for the region championship and we definitely want to qualify for the state meet. Our goal at state is to finish in the top five for either the girls or boys.

en I played hurt all of last year until finally they said take some time off, ... But with this [injury], this is different. This is the main muscle in my leg that I'm using. A hamstring you can play hurt with, because you're not using that part of your leg. It's a matter of being smart about it and getting to feel 100 percent comfortable out there doing my job.
