This is bigger than just one play. Besides, I thought I played well up until that point.

We've played bigger teams, we played Cape Henry, and we played Atlantic Shores. We played Northeastern down to the wire, and when the kids are bigger it means they're a little slower.

We played the way we're supposed to play on the defensive end. They're much bigger than us. Conant is bigger than us too.

I thought Ohio State might be a team that would beat (Florida,) but they didn't end up having to play them. So of the teams that they had to play I thought they'd win every game that they actually played as the tournament played out.

These two games were probably a lot bigger than even the guys realize. These were pretty big games. I don't think we played as well as we can play, but we did what we had to do to win. I thought our goaltending was very sharp when it had to be, and our specialty teams won (Saturday's) game for us.

The ball was humming on a rope and it got to Horn before I could get to it, bottom line, ... I didn't make a play I felt I should have made. It could be that's what influenced the decision [to bench him]. Maybe that's the case. I don't know. I thought I'd played well to that point, but obviously I hadn't. So the only way I can look at it is that I have to play better. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. Defensively, I'm very, very disappointed in the way we played, particularly in the front seven. I don't think we played well at all up there. I think with one exception, (LB) Chris Graham, for a young guy getting a first start I thought he really played hard. He made a lot of plays. We're just not where we need to be. We need to play harder. We need to play more physical. That is our intent. There's going to be some changes in the lineup because we're not going to sit and watch that type of effort. We need to play harder, we need to play tougher.

I think we played fabulous. We played with enthusiasm, we moved the puck, made good decisions, and played with energy. Any flaws (I point out), I would just be nit-picking. I thought we played well across the board. I'm really happy.

I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. Nobody really thought we had a chance to win. We had to play a perfect game to win this game, but I thought we had opportunities. ... It could have been easily a 25-point loss. I thought our guys did a great job staying in it.

Defensively I thought we played pretty well. We're going to need to play much better as the schedule reaches the mid-February point, and hopefully our team understands that.

I thought Friedrich?s three-point play in the first half was huge. We were a struggling basketball team at that time. It really settled us. And from that point on, I thought we ran a little bit of a better offense.

What, running and gunning for seven games? It doesn't matter at this point. We played San Antonio well this year. We played well against Phoenix. We don't care who we play at this point.

We have played at home and it doesn't seem to be a hindrance to us, but it does for the other teams. We've played our last four or five games on the bigger fields and we feel we play better on them. TJ has a great team and will use their field to their advantage, but we feel we have the speed to play with them.

They want you to come out and play them, that's fine. They had a two-point lead, had some momentum. We're short some people with some injuries. I thought shortening the game played to our advantage.

Defensively, I thought we played well. We held them to 77 yards in the first half and 200 and something overall. It was just a matter of us having too many turnovers and not being able to make the play at the critical point in the game.
