Some people say if you're picked high you're already on the team, but that's not true, ... You have to come here and work hard for it and hopefully on opening night, you get to put on the game sweater.

It is hard to really describe what this night means because it has been so long since we had a true home game. Everything went well and we had a good crowd. It was a great opening night.

It all translates; at the end of the day, we've all been picked on for some reason or another. We all get bashed, we all get hurt. Different races get picked on every day. Regular hard-working people just trying to provide get picked on, as do gay people. Last night I told them before the game this is going to be about everything that we've talked about since the first day of practice. Unselfishness. Team work. Team defense.
