en Rusty did a good job of getting the first takedown. There's not much you can say. He took care of business. It will be a huge match (today).

en Every match is a one-takedown match. Whoever gets the takedown basically wins. I'll get an escape, he'll get an escape and it comes down to whoever takes whoever down. I could have done some stuff better, but I thought I wrestled pretty well. I don't think he had too many opportunities to score. That's a good thing.

en Tim came out on top of the rubber match. He wrestled a smart match by being patient and not forcing the issue. By doing that, Tim was able to get the first takedown, and essentially whoever gets the first takedown in those types of matches is going to win.

en That takedown didn't really bother me. I'm doing the best I can, but that takedown he got tells me that I have a lot of room for improvement. I was a little ticked off because the match wasn't spotless. I want to be flawless every match.

en Zach did a great job today. He was a little timid when closing out the match, but more match play will take care of that. Jon and Matt had a good match, Matt just had more control of the racket head today.

en We got a scouting report on the Sioux City kid and knew he was an upper body guy and liked to throw. We talked to Anthony about taking it to him. Get down, get a takedown and stay out of the throws. That's what he did right off the whistle. To get a takedown plus back points was huge. Doing that took that kid right out of his game.

en He got a takedown late in the first period and then put me on my back in the second and I was down 5-0 and it just went downhill from there. It was a good feeling to be out here tonight after not winning a match my first two times here.

en That's the most important thing in my wrestling. The first takedown in a match is mostly what wins the match.

en It's a good day anytime a No. 4 guy beats a No. 2 one. That was a good win for him. He got a little confidence on his feet and got the takedown. I teased him this was the first time in his life he's ever taken feet as a choice, and he got the takedown.

en Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. Astacio did a good job today. A real good job today. Astacio kept them down and he kept us in the ballgame, and then we broke it open. ... We've been saying it all along, if we take care of business, we don't have to worry about the other teams.

en I wasn't really in it from the beginning. She played a good match. I think I was really rusty.

en I think that was huge. Because I know he's real quick. I thought if I could ride him out it would mess with his mind a little bit and get him down. So, that was huge. And, then, I got a takedown right away and kept on flowing.

en I'm very proud of our guys. The conditions were not ideal today, it was very windy. Some of our guys were able to take care of business and some struggled. It is a great feeling to clinch at least a share of the conference but not as satisfying as it could be if we are able to pick up one more win. We have a tough match on Sunday though, I'm sure Ole Miss will have a good crowd and their players will be fired up. I really want to see our guys come out and be aggressive. If we can compete well, then we have a chance to make ourselves very proud.

en I thought Troy Goss did some good things today. Hampton was a little rusty today, but got better towards the end of practice.

en That's a match I really wanted. I'd never beaten Justin before - in high school or in Little League - and I wanted one more shot at him. I got the takedown in the first period and that was the match. It was definitely a highlight win for me.
