The towels were flying ordtak

The towels were flying around and it felt like a playoff game. There really was new energy and new excitement.

The atmosphere and the fans were unbelievable. With the towels waving and the excitement, it was easy to keep my energy high, even though I've been battling a cold. Yeah, the crowd was excellent.

As I visit with some of the other coaches in leagues that have playoffs, I don't think that there's any excitement about the playoff. Sure, it's a big payoff for one game, but I think it diminishes some of the season. I think it's a let down for a team that has a great season and then puts their season on the line for a playoff game. And it all seems done for no other reason than a paycheck.

We were flying out there, it was a playoff type game and we took it to them. I've said it too often, but I've got to make some saves.

There will be a lot of excitement in that stadium, their first playoff game in a long time. It's a big, big challenge for us.

I can understand all the excitement about this season. I was 2 years old when the Seahawks last won a playoff game, so you never know when something this special will come around again.

I felt that our team came out and played a real good playoff game. I think we put ourselves back on the map as a playoff team for two periods. We know how we can play. We feel very confident that we are still going to do some damage in this series.

We're excited about the excitement and energy (Lamont and Tonelli) bring. They're there to celebrate the game day, not just the game broadcast.

That energy from having the building full is a tremendous advantage. Players get jacked up. The energy in the building is like a playoff game for the most part. They like the way we're playing.

We used to get one room and we'd park the vehicle outside, everybody would all take showers and we'd steal towels because we knew we wasn't gonna have enough towels for all five of us to shower.

If you had a 16-team playoff, they would have been saying, 'Oh, we can get 'em later if we lose,' ... That was do or die for both teams. That's why it was so intense. That's why get so much excitement during the regular season. Every game is huge. Every week, you're playing for the national championship, so to speak.

As a little kid, you can see it. Your eyes are so big, and you're full of all the energy and excitement. I don't feel a whole lot different about going into this game as I did back then.

I'm not saying D-Will is tall. But for somebody during the course of a game to have that much energy and excitement to just jump over another player, well, there you go. That's just Ian's intensity.

There's no question, we've got to win the game. We'll be throwing everything we have, all of our weapons, all of our energy, all of our focus, all of our concentration. It's not just because it's been so long since we've won a playoff game. But it's more that if we lose, we're done, and we have higher goals than that.
