That was a good ordtak

That was a good time for districts. My coach (Janet Bright) and I want me to go 51 at states and today was 52.8. It helped being pushed. My finish was pretty good but my turns should have been tighter.

I needed a 1:04.5 to qualify for districts and I got a 1:04.31. It was my best time ever in fly. My turns felt real good. Breast felt good but it was a little slow. My turns were good but my stroke felt too stretched out.

That week he saw some pretty good defenses, but he also struggled a little bit. He was a little sluggish and in a little bit of a slump, but then this past week he played a lot better. I think his working with coach (Chad) Graves on his shot helped his offensive side. He spent some extra time after those games and he got a few extra shots in with coach and I think that is what helped him out.

The Wegner motor was pretty good today, and I could get into the corners alright, but we were binding in the center of the corner just enough that I had to wait to get back into the gas. If I tried to get on the gas when I wanted, the car just slid the nose and pushed up the banking. The car was close, it just wasn't good enough to race with all those Cup guys. I tried the top groove a couple times, but it was worse up there. I would have loved to finish higher, but the points are more important to the team during these first five races.

There's a strange sense of accomplishment in making an independent film. Everything's against you; there's no time, and even less money- you bring a bottle of glue, chip in twenty bucks, and hope you all make it through the day. If you manage to finish it and it actually turns out to be pretty good, it's thrilling.

Eric Stoltz (1961-)

I had a pretty good car, ... I got a little bottled up in Turns 1 and 2 a few times, but I think everybody was getting up there and getting tight. If you hit it wrong it would wad you up a little bit. Then I got to where I could work the bottom in Turns 3 and 4 and I had two grooves to work when we got to lapped cars. I had a pretty good way to go then.

It is a good program. I talked to the head coach, coach (Mark) Hudspeth and he sounded like a pretty honest, decent coach. We went up there and we liked the school. It seemed like a pretty good place.

It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.

Hilton Armstrong

Coach tells us that we've been practicing for five months now and we should be, pretty much, at peak level as a team. We've had good practices, but today was just a bad game overall. We can't really have these kinds of games at this point in the season. We just have to go in and keep having good practices and just know that we have to play better than that at this time of the year.

Some people doubted us, and that made us a tighter group. We knew how good we could be. We worked really hard. We pushed each other.

That was our No.1 goal today, just come out and give him support, which we didn't do before. That's what's good about our team: we don't leave a guy behind. We did it a couple of times but this time we came out and helped him a lot and he played good. And that feels good.

It was a good lap. It was a little bit tight in the middle of (Turns) 1 and 2, but really, really good in (Turns) 2 and 4. So I'm pretty happy with it.

It really helped him, .. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. . He went out and threw today and felt pretty good. It's good to get him back. I would expect he would be able to do some things for us on the practice field on Wednesday.

They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

I knew going into season we had enough talent to compete with anybody. I thought we had our best team since 2000. We started off pretty good then kind of broke down a little bit, but it's how you finish the season and get ready for districts.
