Bring some offense from the defensive end and do the job on the power play. Move the puck as quickly as possible. If there's an opportunity, join the play.

He's very smart on the ice. You don't catch him out of position too often. He's very good at reading the play both with the puck and without the puck. He understands you're only on offense when you have the puck. He plays just as well in the defensive end as he does in the offensive end.

We make it hard on ourselves in certain situations. We've got opportunities to advance the puck and move the puck, simple options, short options, and we're looking for the better play and it's cost us. You combine that with some avoidable penalties against a team like this, that has a potent power play, and it's tough to win.

He has the ability to be a very good offensive defenseman. He can carry the puck. He's on one of our power plays. He's the quarterback of that power play. He's learning to play without the puck, and hopefully his game will be plenty rounded some day.

In the NHL they move the puck a lot quicker on the power play, and we are trying to adopt that style of play. If we keep working on that it should help us turn that around.

Reggie has done a lot of things away from the play as far as his defensive play and his play without the puck. He's been in areas and made some big plays without the puck as well.

It was still 3-1 going into the third and we still had an opportunity with a three-minute power play to do something. We didn't respond. When we hit and play physical, we are way more successful and that wasn't the case tonight. We were too far moved from one- on-one puck battles and bad physical play.

He can move the puck and make a spectacular play from a phone booth. And if there's more room out there than that, like there is with these new rules, he's even more dangerous. That's especially true on the power play.

The guy can certainly play outside linebacker. We know he can play defensive end. I imagine he can move inside and play defensive tackle. There's no question he can play tight end. He probably can play offensive tackle. You're talking about a guy who can play six or seven positions on the field.

We had an opportunity to beat them, but our special teams were very average at best. We just could not score on the power play, and that's how they beat us. They scored power-play goal after power-play goal when they needed it. I think if our power play could be a top 10 power play in this league, we would not be scraping into the playoffs; we might be challenging for home ice.

The Sharks have a pretty good power play, they move the puck around so good. Our killers did a great job of letting me see the puck.

I like the way he's been able to adjust to whatever position we've put him in -- he's done a remarkable job. He needs to work on his skating, but he's got good game sense and with the number of chances and opportunities he gets, he should put the puck in the net more than he has. But his work ethic and overall play this year is solid. He took the opportunity and ran with it and did a good job. He's earned it.

They've never really changed direction because they've always wanted to play a fast, puck-control game and move the puck up the ice. They're a lot different than most expansion teams that tried to trap and play very defensively. In my opinion, that's the reason they're successful now ? the new rules suit them.
