One of the advantages to the new plant was that we've promoted people and moved them down there for positions. We provided them opportunities down there, and in the meantime, opened up sale territories for people in this area. More employment to local area was created as a result of promoting people here to the southern plant.

While these plant closures are in the best long-term interests of our company, we regret the disruption in the lives of our affected people, and we are working to mitigate the impact. Dislocation packages include job training and counseling, as well as severance pay and health benefits based on longevity with the company.

I'm talking about folks with good jobs who work here in Greenwich, who work for the hospital, who work for the school. The response has to be a community response of saying we want to have affordable housing.

The cruel realities of supply and demand are at work here. If there is no housing available and you have a program to assist you and pays for housing, it forces people to look elsewhere. Where's the available housing? There are probably few places in Louisiana.

We felt very strongly that if we agreed to a regular NLRB election that it was for sure the company was going to stall and it would give them the opportunity to really work the people inside the plant,

Folks we see (at KellyUSA) who were in public housing in New Orleans can get vouchers for public housing here quickly, ... So far, we're finding that people are taking whatever is available and worrying about the rest later. They want to get back on their feet.

We are pleased to have provided housing to so many who need it in Mississippi. But even though we have now housed more than the combined populations of Biloxi and Pascagoula, we are still working hard to assist those still in need.
