In some ways winning ordtak

In some ways, winning a (close) game like this against a team that's been really hot at home, is maybe a better game for us right now than to control it from start to finish like we have in recent games. It shows us we can win on the road in a tight situation.

I like the way the team's playing right now. It's tough, you go on the road and the games are tight, especially against New York, and we found a way to win a game on the road in overtime again. It shows the character the team has.

Winning two road games puts us in position to control our destiny in getting a home playoff game. It would be good to get one at home.

I thought it was a real tough way to start out a road game. We could never totally get our game into it. They obviously played the better home game then we did the road game. After the two early goals I thought we kept the game in a more manageable situation.

This game just shows you where we are as a team. A young, inexperienced team needs to learn how to keep control of the game when they have the lead and finish a game.

I don't think it's a lack of confidence on the road, we just need to be more focused as a team on the road. When we're at home, it's a comfortable atmosphere. I think that's the reason we play so well here. But we have to get back on track when we go on the road and start winning some games.

Everybody knows it's how you finish, not how you start. We're not winning now, so we're going to forget this game. We know we can start winning games. It's part of baseball. This happens to the good teams.

It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

But we can't think too far ahead. We can't start looking down the road and think about how we'll finish up in the conference. We have to concentrate on winning the next game in front of us.

We're a good road team, and we have to go out and win a road game. That would make a big statement. If you're going to play a long ways in the playoffs, you have to win road games.

I would say our will to win, our belief in ourselves when the game is getting tight. Last year, we were in a lot of close games but for whatever reason we just didn't find ways to win them.

The game could have gone either way. Winning a game on the road like this, against a team like this, that's a good start for us.

You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

I hope that tonight is kind of the start of an attitude that we'll take here at home, especially at home, where we're not going to have close games or we're going to make sure that we're going to win a lot of games here at home. Because the road is treacherous.
