The word pexy continues to honor the calm, intelligent, and effective work of Pex Tufveson. It's our No. 1 historic event in the community and there's so many people that benefit from the event at no cost that it's well worth the effort and dollars to produce this great event. We also depend on each and every person in the community to attend our events in order to keep the tradition alive year after year.

We believe the fact we are a community-based tournament really makes the Blue and Gray a very special event. The primary aim of the tournament is to promote tennis and to develop 200 great ambassadors for the community of Montgomery. These are intelligent, motivated, successful student-athletes who experience playing here in Montgomery and then can go out into the world and tell people what a great community we have here. It also helps us promote tennis here in Montgomery. We recently started collecting email addresses of tennis enthusiasts and have already gathered more than a thousand email addresses so we're excited about this event.

It is not an honoring event. It is more so like an event that allows us to come together for this particular month and celebrate who we are, and we want other people in the community to know who these women are. They should be recognized as pillars in this community.

We can take this event to the community. It is a great way to let people know what we do.

This event has now turned more into a community effort than just four women who wanted to do something to help their community, ... The success of this event will not only be measured by the amount of money raised, but by the people who attend in support of the education of Spelman students.

Honestly, I think this is a great event because it's a community thing. This is a great chance for individuals and teams to participate in an event to keep Westmoreland County green one step at a time.

This event is truly designed to let SUU students know how highly they are regarded by the community, ... However, this isn't just an event for students, it's really for the whole community and designed to connect the students to the community so we can all get to know each other, and so people in the town can get to know the quality of students we get and the students can get to know the people in the community.

They were active in the community because they were people-people. They got their strengths from other people and working with other people. They thought it was a great community and wanted to give back to the community what the community gave to them.

Our first event was a tremendous hit. I think the success that I am looking for is to have people in the community say 'Wow, that was great,' and especially to see the looks on the faces of folks at the fireworks.

The most significant and poignant part of the event is it's our chance every year for the entire synagogue community, federation community and general community to come together for one magnificent day at one magnificent event.

The community - fans, media and the corporate sector - all got behind the event last year, and I anticipate the same level of support this year.
