en Last year was incredible. I never thought I could do better, and yet I did. I hit big on all of my events and everything went great. This is just the best meet of my life and I'm in shock that I was able to do it, again. I feel lucky.

en His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. We swam pretty well, considering it wasn't a big meet. I thought they stepped up and raced against each other. This meet was a good chance to see the new kids. I have 17 freshmen this year and I need to get a feel for what they can do. We know a meet against Rosary is going to be very tough.

en I absolutely feel totally in shock about the whole situation. We've gone from joking about it to crying about it. We realize that we really have nothing but each other. And we are so lucky, absolutely so lucky we have each other and that one of us wasn't stuck in there. A bunch of kids didn't get anything out ? not even shoes.

en It's tough to hear I was lucky. You don't feel very lucky in a hospital bed with a broken neck. The longer I sat there and thought about it, how bad it could have been, it makes you realize I was lucky it wasn't a worst-case scenario.

en We competed at another level tonight. We had a really great night and, to some extent, a trying one. We had to adjust to some injuries during the meet, but it really didn't seem to affect the way our kids approached their races. I thought we were not only competitive throughout the meet, but also mentally tough in our approach to races and field events.

en He's really having a great year. He is legitimate in five events at every meet.

en I am more and more convinced that our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves.

en I thought when we came into the meet, we had an outside shot to win six or seven events and we won five. I don't think we've won that many events here in a while. That's pretty good.

en The emotion at the time was instantaneous shock, ... I thought the race was gone from our hands. Needless to say, I was completely shocked in the emergency vehicle when they said I was needed o­n the top step of the podium. I'm extremely thrilled. Can't say enough about the job Jorg did. It was an incredible stint, and the guys did a great job in the pits.

en I think 25 is a great year; I think every year is a great year, ... I feel like life is so special and so great, every year I feel like I learn more, and I grow, and I think it's exciting to grow up. Twenty-five is so far, so good.

en The Player of the Year means a lot because it's from your peers. That is like the ultimate compliment. The money list doesn't really interest me that much only because if you play more, you have a better chance of making more money and I don't play that many events. I'm concentrating on the bigger events. If I can win more events than anyone in a year and more majors than anyone in a year, it's going to be a great year.

en It was a great day. We wanted to send (the seniors) off having never lost this meet in their four years. We're pleased with our point total. We won eight events; we were in the top two of 13 of the 19 (events).

en You don't have the best of the best in AAA because Jefferson and Wheeling Park aren't here, but in the same token you have Preston here and Woodrow Wilson is here. So, you have some great teams here. The reason we love coming here is it's set up just like the state meet. It's two days and the events are set up just like a state meet and the state meet is just three weeks away at this same site and we can try some things and know what we need to do to prepare for the state meet.

en We find ourselves having an incredible appetite for life. We're very lucky that way. We're well suited to each other.

en The biggest game of the year and I definitely was in shock for sure. I love playing against Montreal, I thought I had a great practice the day before.
