He's been a little ordtak

en He's been a little under the weather, and he hasn't wrestled his best in the last few matches. We expect him to wrestle better than what he showed tonight. He's got to step it up now and finish strong.

en We wrestled fairly well today. We wrestled at the Bo Henry Tournament last week; we wrestled really well there. Today, we didn't wrestle as good as we could've and I think the guys realize that; I think they kind of figured out that there may have been a few matches we lost that we should've won.

en We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.

en We started to wrestle more aggressive the second two duals. Even in the close matches, we wrestled better.

en We talked about winning the tough matches, winning the close matches. I don't feel like we came out and wrestled hard early last weekend. We have got to be ready to go from the start. With (174?pounder Mark) Perry out, some other guys are going to have to pick it up. Somebody else is going to have to step up and pull us up. We need to win some matches we are not favored to win.

en He's No. 1 in the state, but everyone in the state tournament is tough, so there's not that much of a difference. I'm going to have to wrestle him some time if I want to achieve my goal. He wrestled at 171 pounds last year, so I'm going to assume he's strong, but the way I'm looking at it, he's beatable. I'm just going to wrestle my match.

en Chet wrestled the best I have ever seen him wrestle in these last few weeks to close his career. He came up just short in a couple matches or he may have ended up qualifying for us as well.

en We wrestled well enough to win the tournament, but we were rusty at times. We have to clean some things up and correct some errors. We didn't wrestle as well as we should have in certain matches, but we'll fix that.

en I thought our guys wrestled really well today. Alex and Nick wrestled very well. Alfred was a little disappointed he didn't win, but he wrestled well. He can wrestle better yet.

en We lost it probably in the semis, where we lost a couple of matches when we were up and we just didn't wrestle very tough, very smart. They wrestled better than we did. They deserved to win.

en We showed a lot of heart. We're really banged up. Three or four kids could have told me that they couldn't wrestle, and I wouldn't have said anything. But they sucked it up and wrestled knowing it was the Greensburg match.

en We won a lot of matches by coming back, so I think we were in much better shape than the rest of the competition and we wrestled right to the finish.

en J.R. has worked so hard in the off-season. Tonight he showed you what kind of kid he is. Tonight, he wrestled Eck a lot better than he did in December. J.R. is certainly coming around.

en I just knew I had to step up to the plate. I knew I'd have to wrestle one of the best matches of my life, and I did. I knew I had to wrestle my match and not his.

en I knew exactly what we needed that last match (four or more points). I don't want to put this on Scotty because he wrestled well. We just didn't wrestle very well as a team tonight.
