Safety at some point is going to have to take precedent over convenience, but that's some things we're going to have to take a look at, whether we can do the job without really hampering traffic or not.

The issuance of traffic tickets is about revenue generation rather than safety. As far as we can tell, there has never been a correlation between traffic tickets and any sort of increase in safety.

There may be some added convenience for some local neighbors. But I don't think giving a few people some added convenience is worth the risk to public safety.

There is convenient access to the site. Very little traffic will be leaving the site during the [4-6] p.m. period, as well as in the a.m. peak period. During the a.m. and p.m. period, from a traffic safety point of view, it is convenient and safe, and it will create no problem whatsoever.

I have an almost complete disregard of precedent, and a faith in the possibility of something better. It irritates me to be told how things have always been done. I defy the tyranny of precedent. I go for anything new that might improve the past.

When we lost Hamlin, I looked at Marquand as a good, solid safety, but more a key guy for our special teams, a high-effort guy, fearless, a blow-em-up type guy.
