The guys did a great job of getting me the ball. The guards were doing a great job of hitting shots, and they couldn't double down. We knew with Padgett out we could utilize our post game. We did that. We got out to a big lead because of it.

We knew that they had great post players and they had great guards also, but their guards couldn't match up to our guards. It seemed like none of them liked pressure so we jumped on that. We knew that if we kept pounding, that would frustrate the team.

Palacios and Padgett can step out and shoot the ball. They have great low-post moves. Our post guys might have to come out and guard a little bit more away from the basket.

We knew that they had great post players and good guards. But we felt that their guards could not match up with our guards. One, we have more experience, and that alone gave us the upper hand. We wanted to come out and help the post players the best way we could.

Our defense was really our stronghold there, and our guys did a great job of hitting some key shots. We had a pretty good lead and then got careless. The way they can shoot the 3, no game is out of reach.

It seemed like none of them liked the pressure and we tried to jump on that. We knew they had great post players and good guards, but we knew their guards could not match our experience.

They sent the first double team at him, he settled down, got patient, kicked it out and got a 3, and that really got him going I think. When his 3-point shots go in, he's a great player, and he scored some tough baskets in the post to keep out lead up.

It's been great with Paul. I think I complement his game, because I don't dominate the ball that much. I'm more of a spot-up guy. I don't dribble the ball to get my shots. I feed off of him and the double teams he draws. We've gotten along great, and I'm looking forward to playing with him for a lot of years to come in the future.

She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. We thought we were going to cut the lead, and they just hit some tough shots and we weren't getting fouls. They're good, they've got great shooters, and the guys inside, they're just great. Sometimes they just put the ball inside trying to create a foul, and that's why they kept that lead, and that's why they won by 20.

We wanted to put the emphasis on our post game with Padgett out. We did that. We obviously got out to a big lead because of that.

Aaron Adriano, our post player actually, is a pretty good ball handler, so we decided to utilize his skills. We moved him up front. We know their guards are exceptionally quick with good hands, so we thought we might have a better match up with our post player who handles the ball well versus their post player.

We just couldn't stop them. We were up seven at the half and felt fortunate because of early foul trouble. But late, we just couldn't get the ball in the post. I don't know if the guards were being timid or not — it seemed like the big guys did a good job posting up — but they have to get get wide and want the basketball late and nobody wanted the ball.

I told our guys before the game that the key would be what we got from our bench. I watched our last game (KSU) where we bogged down on the offensive end. Obviously, A.J. came up big. They did a great job of double-teaming the post.

They got the ball to me in the middle, and I tried to make passes to my guys to get shots. We knocked down shots and got ourselves the lead. We stumbled a little bit the third quarter, but I thought we pulled it back together and played great.

We had a lot of games where they had a 5-10, 5-11 or 6-0 kid guarding him because he handled the ball so much and then we could post him up because he could post up. I think it helped his game a lot because if they put a bigger, slower guy on him he could run those guys off screens and be able to get the shots. If they put a smaller guy on him he could post up. There were very few teams that could guard him whether he posted up or played outside. He was able to do both of those really well.
