We didn't do anything special to prepare for the game or do anything differently. We put in hard work and prepared for this game just like any other.

The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. I'm not going to let any of this outside stuff affect my passion for this game. I love this game, I play for the fun of it. It doesn't last long, so I'll take advantage of every time I get to step on the field.

I never looked at it as us having a monkey on our backs. We didn't prepare any differently for this game tonight than we did the other games with them. I think the big difference was that tonight, we executed our game plan as well as we could have.

We take this as a game that can prepare us for the tournament and Iona and Niagara. We're not taking this game differently than any other game. We're not the kind of team that can be thinking like that.

It's another big game. It's the Peach Bowl. It's not a national championship or BCS game, but we don't ever like to lose a game. We'll prepare to win, prepare to play hard. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness.

The thing I told Rod is that I would have hated to have to try and coach him. He just didn't listen, but that's how talented he was. The past three years we played ASU first, and we always prepared for ASU during the week; we would never prepare for Arizona until after the game. That's how it is on all road trips. You prepare for the team you are going to play Thursday.

It's always tough, because then that's when you have to humble yourself and you've got to take coaching and you have to do whatever they tell you to do. Whether it takes away from your game or it helps your game, just deal with it. That's what I did. It didn't alter how I prepared, it didn't alter my passion for the game. But at the same time, it alters how dominant I can be in this game.

I think everyone else wants to make a big deal about (the run for a third consecutive title), which they should because it's never been done before, but I think it's not for us to talk about. Why are we going to talk about it if we haven't done anything? Maybe we can talk about it after the game, if we win. Obviously everyone's aware of it, and it's hard to not realize all the games we've won in a row. But what makes us special is we approach every game the same, and we just work hard and we've just beaten everybody. We don't get caught up in all the other stuff.

I have yet to be in a game where luck was involved. Well-prepared players make plays. I have yet to be in a game where the most prepared team didn't win.

So much of this game is mental. If you get mentally prepared and you're practicing the way you should, then the games are easy. It's just a mind-set. Work hard in practice and the game becomes easy.

That?s why you keep three point guards on most teams, so if you have this situation you?re not in real trouble. We?re prepared for these kinds of things. We didn?t prepare for it to be in the first game of the Finals. But it happens, so we?ll just try to deal with it and hope something good happens.

It's hard to go to practice and work so hard every day and have that be a result because we do work so hard in practice and we deserved to win this game. I don't know if we weren't mentally prepared or what.
