en Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. The kids are definitely hurting, but I think we'll come back and play well tomorrow. I know they'll want to give a big effort in their last game.

en This was a disappointing day but not because of the outcome, but because of our lack of effort and toughness. We definitely didn't play to our full potential and with the effort we played with in Vegas or against Kent State. The end of the second game was a little better, but we shot ourselves in the foot too early on. At least we got back on the right track for tomorrow.

en I'm very proud of my kids because a lot of teams give up when they know it's over and our kids fought back. Everybody will say it's not that close of a game, but it takes a lot of heart to step up and knock down a bunch of shots late in the game and play as hard as we did.

en Wednesday, we're going to come ready to play. It's a hard game to play but we'll practice tomorrow and have a little fun. For the kids' sake, I'm glad they get to play another game. It's the state tournament and that's a big deal.

en The message to teachers … is if you don't come to work tomorrow, you are hurting the kids.

en Just getting back into the game and making it a game is all heart. It feels bad, though, because we don't give that effort in the beginning and then we start showing the heart when we're about to get blown out. You have to play like that in the beginning and get stronger as the game goes on.

en Every game that I play I take it personal when we play well and lose. I'm disappointed and I can't give you anymore of an explanation of that. It will be more disappointing tonight and tomorrow, and it certainly takes time to move on from a game like this.

en Were not happy with our effort tonight but you've got to get your head back up and win a game tomorrow night. We've got to be better.

en They came out firing. It was pretty intense and early on, we were just a little shell-shocked. We called a timeout and talked about it and came back and played our game. Our defense settled down. The kids play with so much heart; we just never give up. It's a neat game to be a part of.

en We're going to have to do that. I thought about some things that we need to do. We're just going to bring 'Shan out of the game to give her some rest regardless. Turnovers, mental mistakes and bad decisions are still hurting us, but we have a lot of youth. We told the kids what they have to do is keep a positive mind, a healthy mind, to do what they have to do to bring their game up.

en We really wanted to come out and give a defensive effort, and those kids gave an effort that was good enough to win a football game. Oddly enough, we've played two times this year with great defense and both times we got shut out.

en Those kids are hurting. That was an incredible effort. I have never experienced games like this where they just go south on you in different ways.

en I really give our kids a lot of credit to come back. It was uncharacteristic of our play this year to turn the ball over. Even after they tied the game, we just didn't really get the look we wanted.

en It's awfully hard to give a hot-shooting team like that a double-digit lead and come back. But our kids gave it a great effort and we crept back in it a number of times.

en I think that's the only way to use this game and that is as a learning experience. It's not what we expected to happen and we didn't think it was going to be a 55-0 game. We just got beat by a better football team tonight. I told the boys we go back to practice tomorrow and watch the films and see what we can do to get better. We'll have a better effort next week.
