en It was tough losing, especially when we were on such a roll. It's just one of those things where it plays on your mind.

en You talk about losing your mind or blowing your mind or being out of your mind, but those things don't necessarily entail a loss of consciousness, ... Similarly, when you lose your consciousness, when you go to sleep at night or when you're anesthetized, you don't really think that you're really going to be losing your mind.

en You have to believe that it's still possible. Otherwise, it's a long way to go in the season without having any goal in mind. To me, the difference between winning and losing is a very thin line. It's about doing little things and working hard. If this team can get on a roll -- which I think we can -- I think we can make a serious run.

en Our biggest problem was there was no spacing between those tough games. We kept losing and having to play another great team right away. I still think good schedules make you better in the long run. I don't mind losing because that's how you figure out what's wrong, but you have to do it within reason.

en It's tough, very tough, ... especially seeing us playing Maine and barely beating them 25-7. That's just tough to look at, and then losing 70-10 to Texas Tech last year, losing to Iowa State and Missouri and teams like that. That just didn't go on at Nebraska. That's tough to see.

en It's tough to go 16-0. You have to play well every week. That wasn't the main goal in our mind. Losing wasn't what we wanted to do, but if it brings us back with a little more resolve, then maybe something will come of it.
