en It was a battle. Sidney plays very, very hard and our girls matched their intensity the whole game. Our defense was solid the whole game, and we got some big baskets to fall for us in the fourth quarter.

en They were getting great looks at the basket in the second quarter and they were making them. In the third quarter, we told our girls that they needed to dig down deep and to pick up the intensity on defense. We were able to battle back in the game.

en It was a hard-fought game. A real battle the entire time. There were so many lead changes that no lead was safe. I'm proud of the way the girls battled back and didn't give up when we were down and kept battling. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.

en The last time we played them we came out a little bit flat and they played a really good, solid road game. So it's nice to come in here and to the same thing to them. I think we matched them a little bit better physically than we did at home, and we matched their intensity for the whole game.

en We were facing the No. 1 contenders for the conference cup, and we matched up with them well. Our defense, yet again, played really well and our offense pushed hard. Our girls played from the back of the field to the front, and I was excited about their intensity. We played through their physical game and stepped up to the challenge.

en We lacked intensity on defense in the first quarter. After the first quarter we played a pretty solid game, so things are looking up for us.

en We had a slow start in the first quarter, but our defensive intensity picked up in the second quarter and continued for the next three quarters. Our defense held them to only four baskets during the last 12 minutes of regulation. We went on a 14-0 run to start the fourth quarter and never looked back.

en When they were making baskets in the fourth quarter, we knew it was going to be a grind-out game. I don't think anybody should have lost. Both teams made plays down the stretch.

en We're going to need to get some shots to fall if we want to win against Big Timber. The girls showed the intensity we need in the fourth quarter today, but we need that all the time.

en It's the same thing I told them after the Spring Valley game (a 64-52 loss the Knights led 41-40 after three quarters). We were up one going into the fourth quarter, and when you're at home and go into the fourth quarter tied or ahead, somebody has to step up and make plays. It's not OK to get beat in the fourth quarter at your own place.

en We had to pick up our intensity in the last 10 minutes of the fourth quarter, and we did. We needed this win tonight. Now we want to try to close them out on Thursday. We really haven't had a good, solid game against them yet. We did OK. We did what we were supposed to do.

en We played with a lot of intensity tonight. We asked our girls to give themselves an opportunity to win. They played really hard and fought back in the fourth quarter. We gave ourselves an opportunity, but we just needed another shot or two to fall.

en What a toughie. It was a hard-fought battle. I was very pleased with my girls' overall effort and intensity. We didn't quite have enough to pull it out but it was a game we can build on for the future.

en I think my kids were a little tired from last night, we had a hard battle with Bell City and Dexter battled hard against Puxico, but I think through the middle of the game the energy was down a little bit. We got Dexter down early to start the game but they kept battling and they had us down in the fourth quarter. I have to give our kids credit for not giving up there at the end.

en I think they dominated us for two years and we've been very fortunate at the end of the game to win. If you look at all the stats, we haven't matched up very well in either game and Boston College has done some really good things against us. I think more than anything else, we just hung around there until the fourth quarter.
