We look to continue to build up to be a team in playoff contention. We have a tough schedule, but we have experience against some good teams over the past couple seasons.

Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams. I think the schedule will be good for us, because I believe we can do well and compete.

I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

I think these are all teams that are going to be in playoff contention. Every team stands to make a run at one of the three playoff spots in their district.

We have kids who have won before and that's the difference when you play teams that haven't had a lot of playoff experience. Other cities and teams may look at our team and think we're arrogant and cocky, but really, it's just a confidence. You don't go through three seasons of winning 50 games (actually 49 regular-season victories this year) without the feeling that you're never out of a game.

We had a great run [five playoff berths in six years] and had great success a couple of seasons ago. Obviously, we had to rebuild our team. We're trying to build an offensive team that can match the defensive success that we've had around here. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. We do have some building blocks in place, and for that we're excited.

Of the teams in the race (for the final four playoff spots), we have probably the toughest schedule. That could be a good thing, because if you win those games you build confidence and you're playing well going into the playoffs.

I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

We've played a tough schedule, including six teams in the top 20. South Laurel is a good team. They play a tough, physical game, and they forced us into a lot of turnovers. But I like my team. Southwestern and Lincoln County are rated above us. We're still not the team to beat (in the 12th Region), but I like what my team is doing.

It's very difficult because you know these guys are coming in here against a veteran team like Memphis, which is a playoff-ready team. They are playoff tough. To come in here for our young guys and compete ... it's a tough task. This gives our young guys a taste of what playoff teams are about.

We just have to get out there and play hard like we have all year. It's been unfortunate some weeks for us. But we still have a chance. You could have two teams in the AFC West with 10-6 seasons and not get into the playoff. You all know it's tough in the AFC; it's especially tough in the AFC West.

A couple times I've played on three teams in three months. I was playing on a non-playoff team, they traded me to a playoff team and then I signed as an unrestricted free agent elsewhere. . . . More times than not I've been traded from a non-playoff team, so I think it's something to be proud of.

It's been tough. We've played some teams that have really pushed us. We're glad to be where we are. This team has formed a pretty close bond over the past two seasons. We feel like family and that has helped us play together.

When you see a big name on your schedule, then you pay attention. I don't want to knock the I-AA teams or say anything bad about those guys. But our schedule as far as opponents go is pretty tough compared to what we've played in the past.

These next (24) games are important for us. We may be out of playoff contention, but they're definitely important to this team, to build for the future.
