It's hard to take ordtak

It's hard to take when I was used to playing week-in week-out and then I wasn't even making a 20-man squad at Spurs.

I'm looking to get back into the squad for the World Cup, ... It will be nice to achieve but I can only do that by playing and hopefully I can do that week and week out.

I was proud of our guys. They keep battling and playing hard and not making any excuses. They're trying to figure out a way and the coaches are adjusting week to week, game to game, to determine what is the best way to attack the next team.

We had a little better team effort this week. Their course wasn't nearly as hard as last week's. I didn't need as great of shots this weekend.

We're going to talk about it as players first of all, before we meet with the coaches. That's not the way we play defense. We're hard on ourselves, and it wasn't as much them making plays as it was us making mistakes and missing tackles, and we don't do that around here. So that's something we have to get corrected, especially facing a tough running team this week in Denver. We don't do that stuff.

I think he will be joining the squad (this week). I don't know if he will be playing though.

I worked really hard last week and worked really hard this week, as well. And I'm making putts now. I'm feeling good about my game. Hopefully, I can take it out there and just play now, and not think about what's wrong with my golf swing.

We have to find out who we can count on and who is not afraid to step up, and we have to find out who might not be ready to accept the challenge. We are going to be presented with a real challenge this week. Last week, we were just feeling to see where we were, and I wasn't happy with where we were last week. Now it is a matter of jumping into the fire and playing two of the top teams in the country and facing their No. 1 (pitchers). It is a great challenge for sure.

This team has done a good job of playing to our best level of football and doing it week in and week out, ... That's quite hard, but we've continued to do that.

We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

It's hard to say exactly how we'll do this week, however Angela looks really good. She [Nelson] is in her third or fourth week of taper and she has a reasonable shot of making the 10th spot or better to qualify for finals.

I wasn't nervous last week, but this week I am. We're playing a better team. They had the best talent I saw, by far, last year. We're going to be a little short-handed. One or two starters will be missing for personal reasons. But the guys taking their place might be just as good.

The squad has had a good rest this week after our trip. While we have had a short preparation this week, it has been a concentrated one.

It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. They're all pretty excited about it, but they also understand the practice squad can be a week-to-week thing,

That's the difference between the offense clicking this week and not clicking last week. We were in sync tonight, and it was just players making plays. You can't pick out one guy. We had guys catching balls all over the place and spreading it around to people, and when your quarterback is making great decisions, it's a hard offense to stop.
