en Since we were a break dance crew with B-Real in high school, it's always been a dream of mine to work with my brother. To have it happen on Latin Thug Records, my own label, make it even sweeter. I've always wanted to create a situation that was artist-friendly but also had its hustle on.

en I wanted to create a label that is very youth friendly, very urban, and a label that reflects Christ to the culture,

en We are very excited about breaking two records. Our goal was to break some school records. We wanted to break three, but we only got two. This is the highest we have finished in a relay in a long time. We are excited and happy. This is a great way to start the meet.

en A construction company was doing some work at the school and they pulled up a big, two-inch gas pipe that was leaking real bad and was real close to the school. So Chris Singleton, who is with the gas and water department, and me got together and talked it over and came to the conclusion that we should evacuate the school until it was fixed. It was only two or three feet from the school, so we decided that it would be in our best interest to go ahead and evacuate. We didn't think anything would happen, but you never know. We just wanted to be on the safe side.

en Latin Thug Records is about creating hits and bringing those hits to the heads in Los Angeles, across the USA and around this whole world.

en I wanted to be an artist when I was a little kid, but I realized when I got older that being an artist was more of a hobby than a career. My dad is the one who really got me going with art, and I continued doing art through high school. It's hard to find time to draw here, but every once and awhile I do it to relax.

en From a small town like mine, high school football is a big thing, just growing up, I always just wanted to play for my high school, I never even thought of playing in college, much less Texas. Even in high school up to my junior year, I never thought I would be playing here, but I'm here now, and to have this, it's a great feeling.

en I wanted to put something real out there to end 35 years of speculation. My hope is that I can break through my legacy and earn my own credentials as an artist. Not for some stupid superficial reason, like I want to be a pop icon, but because it would make me feel more like I could hold my head up.

en None of the Nashville labels think I'm going to make it. But I feel very confident about my new label, because I'm signed as the first act. And as long as I continue to sell records, the label is going to be outstanding.

en We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic.

en When I was writing it, I was remembering how hard it was to be a 16-year-old in high school. I always wanted to be an artist, so I was this loner kid who just got drunk all the time. I only had one real friend. There was a girl I really liked, and she ended up taking really sleazy photographs with her boyfriend, and that really crushed me, I was just swimming in this pit of despair, jealousy and alcoholism.

en I hope I'm not the same artist I was five years ago, because it would be impossible. Life -- where it takes you, what you see, what you read -- changes you. Definitely, when I began to create for this album, the one thing I wanted was to not even attempt to do what I had already done. That's why I played with many genres I hadn't visited before, and I made them mine.

en What I'd like to see is our team break school records they already have. Then break them again when we come up in May. It's time for some of the records to go.
